PORT LUDLOW EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTED

The PLVC is pleased to announce Danille Turissini has been appointed Director, Emergency Management. Danille has been a Port Ludlow resident for 15 years and has spent 33 years in grassroots organizing. She was also a candidate for Washington State Senate in 2016. She is a former journalist and currently the sole proprietor of 4th Branch Strategies, which offers people-to-people networking solutions for building strong community relationships. Her passion has been to inform, empower, energize and engage citizens in a lifestyle of advocacy and community bridge building. It is exactly those elements that she will bring to the Emergency Management (EM) activities here in Port Ludlow. Starting with revitalizing the Block Captain program, which is the foundation of all our EM programs, Danille will be expanding the participation base and activities that are involved in having our community be prepared for the smaller events such as power outages and planning for larger events such as earthquakes that could be extremely disruptive. Danille will chair the PLVC Emergency Management Committee which has Jay Bakst, Tink Green, Pat Lohry and Ginny Munger as members.
